I’m a designer, educator, and creative leader based in Chicago, Illinois. Throughout my professional career I’ve worked with a wide range of industries and organizations including large financial and healthcare companies, cultural institutions, architectural firms, and boutique product labels. I believe in a collaborative approach to design that puts the client at the center of the journey. Through design thinking and workshops together we define the essence of the problem, connection to the audience, find excitement and power in possibilities, and ultimately bring something into the world that is equal parts functional, beautiful, and delightful.

I particularly enjoy working with small businesses and cultural organizations to bring their stories and brands to life. I find great joy in mentoring younger designers and have taught classes on foundational graphic design, digital media, and color theory at the University of Illinois at Chicago, University of Cincinnati and the School of the Art Institute, Chicago.

In my current role at Morningstar, I lead the Corporate Design Office team, a group of designers supporting employee experience, internal communications, environmental graphic design, corporate sustainability and financial reporting. Previously I served as a senior project designer at Perkins + Will, the Creative Director for the Chicago Design Museum (now Design Museum of Chicago) and a design director for Studio/lab Inc.

I received a BFA and MFA in Graphic Design from the University of Illinois at Chicago and an MAS in Visual Communication from the Basel School of Design/FHNW, in Basel, Switzerland.

I’m currently open to collaborating on small freelance projects. If you have an idea you’d like to discuss please get in touch!
